Jenny became great friends with my mum Ruth when they were both students at Oxford and she was my godmother. Although I haven’t seen her for some years I have very fond memories of her from my childhood. She always looked very stylish, elegant and cool with a lovely way about her. It was always fun to see her and Hugh, and she definitely fitted the bill of glam Godmother! I loved her art and a couple of her paintings hang in our family home (one a vibrant coastal scene, the other a thistly plant). I was fascinated when she started painting runway landing lights from light planes – a leftfield idea that seemed typical of her flair. She will be much missed but I hope you can enjoy happy memories of her creative, smart, fun-loving spirit. Sophie Davies
